HGV Scent Box

We developed this small device working in conjunction with Tyler security. For the detection of clandestines hiding in the backs of lorries entering the UK.

This is a lightweight battery-operated device consisting of a probe, hose and low-pressure pump with scent collector box.

The probe was placed under the curtain or door at the rear of the vehicle where scents had accumulated. The air drawn into the collector box just above the ground enabled the dog to detect target odours more easily and comfortably.

This is a minimal evasive device that does not require entry into the vehicle. Particularly with hardback Lorries where it is more difficult to check with C02 meters and X-ray becomes more expensive.
