Medical detection dogs or bio-detection dogs are trained to detect the smallest odours with concentrations, around one part per trillion and can detect medical conditions such as breast cancer, Prostate Cancer, Bowel Cancer, Malaria and Parkinson’s.
The carousel arm can be exchanged to accept a medical detection arm. Which differs in is design to give a greater chance to detect small odours.
The arm has completely welded seams to eliminate any cross-contamination from sterilizing and have interchangeable retaining clips. This allows the clip to be changed to accept other samples or just simply replaced when worn out.
The arm has a cone to allow greater focus and amplification, also incorporating a restriction to stop the tongue licking urine, which is a natural thing for the dog to do.
This shape was ergonomically good because it fitted the shape of the dogs nose while allowing the dog to get as close as possible to the substance and at the same time prevents the dog from licking the sample.
